Text going along with the pic:

Suddenly, there was more noise. More water, more rippling, dabbling and gurgling. It intensified the closer she got. Despite having become used to the trees around her, she was not appreciating the warmth and still distrusted the silence, attempting to meander her way out of the thicket. She had found an opening before, yet was still not at ease with the high trunks around her. She felt observed and nervous, cautious even though everything appeared calm and welcoming. Nevertheless, she fastened her gait due to the promising sounds, then broke into a dash until sighting a wall, close to a creek. In front of the stone structure Amélie came to a halt and scrutinized its condition. Falling apart, the wall appeared ancient and untouched, well hidden in this pristine environment. Surprised by her findings, Amélie inspected the construction in front of her before being drawn to the small creek. She admired the remnants of human presence and then, against her initial feelings, followed her guts and went down the river. She had reminded herself of the threat the wall might be posing, possibly pointing towards a way which would not lead her to comfort. Despite longing for civilization, she did not follow its sign but wandered down the path accompanying the creek, occasionally dipping into its water. For one last time, she turned her head, glimpsed at the wall, hesitated for a second, and then pursued her course down the creek. She had not been ready for being in touch with anything human. Any remnants and any signs would only make her weary and somber, yearning for a past that could not be retrieved. Fortunately, the peaceful lapping made her feel confident and as the thicket ceased to the stream of water, she felt no longer constrained or disheartened, but sure that she had chosen the right way.
